Meet Our Staff

Anthony (Tony) Gronski
Executive Director

Anthony has over ten years of experience working at YMCAs in New Jersey, Tennessee and Arkansas. In 2005, he settled at Camp Woodstock with his wife, Melany, and daughters, Madeline, Grace and Sophie. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Parks and Recreation Management. Anthony enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, fly fishing, sled riding, and traveling. His favorite place at Camp is Moonbow Rock via hiking.

Hannah Richardson
Camp Director

Hannah Richardson originally hails from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, but now calls Camp Woodstock home. She earned a degree in Anthropology from the College of Wooster and has since spent her time doing everything from gutting houses in Mississippi to teaching in Ecuador. Hannah is responsible for the day-to-day operation of summer camp and year-round conferencing and retreat center.  When she’s not working at camp, Hannah most often spends her time traveling/exploring, reading, hiking/camping, running, teaching herself to quilt, and counting down the days until summer camp starts!

Megan Petsa

Office Manager

Megan Petsa joined the Camp Woodstock staff as Office Manager in July 2008. She has a Bachelor’s in History from the University of Connecticut and enjoys cooking, reading, playing the piano, and traveling. Megan lives in nearby Ashford with her husband, Dan, and loves life in the Quiet Corner.

Emily Kubena
Youth Leadership Director

Emily was born and raised here in Connecticut, and had the opportunity to attend Camp Woodstock herself every summer since she was eight years old. She joins us full time, after having worked part-time for Camp Woodstock for many years, both in the summer and in the off-season. Apart from her work with the YMCA, she has earned a Bachelor's in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University, and has worked various jobs from coaching special olympics to answering a crisis and suicide prevention hotline. At camp, she oversees the LIT program, Teen Adventure programming, and New Yurt City for our oldest campers. On days off, her favorite activities include hiking/camping, kayaking, cycling, cross country skiing, and both rock and ice climbing, and she is excited to share some of these activities with campers and guests here at Woodstock!

Summer Staff 2011

Best of all, meet the summer staff. Most come from the state of Connecticut, but some staff come from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylania, Massassusetts, England, New Zealand, Australia, Columbia and Jamaica. Almost all of the staff have been campers at Woodstock and have worked their way up through the ranks of LIT, CIT, Junior Counselor and Senior Counselor. They attend colleges all over the country: Boston College, University of North Carolina, Tufts, Vermont University, University of New Hampshire, Bates, BYU, NYU and Penn State, just to name a few. They have been trained here at Woodstock to give your child the best summer experience of their life!
